Open Annotation User Narratives - Use Cases
From Open Annotation Collaboration
Open Annotation User Narratives
Linked below are preliminary, draft user narratives representative of a range of common scholarly practices involving annotation. While hypothetical and to this point in time incomplete, these scenarios are realistic in scope and content and will be refined and augmented during Open Annotation Phase 1 as part of an ongoing process to capture and develop a more fully realized set of use case scenarios suitable for concrete demonstrations that would be carried out during Phase 2 of the project. Execution of such demonstrations during Phase 2 of Open Annotation would provide useful feedback during the beta development of the shared annotation data model and interoperability specification and would illustrate benefits of same. Demonstrations serve as a useful reality check on data model and specification development and provide another opportunity to engage the broader scholarly community.
